How do I determine the correct rug size for my horse?
To find the perfect fit, measure your horse from the center of the chest, along the side of the body, to the rear of the quarter where you expect the rug to finish. Shires rugs are sized in feet and inches; if your horse is between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up.
What are your shipping rates and delivery times?
We offer standard and expedited shipping options. Standard delivery typically takes 3-5 business days. Free shipping is available on all orders over a specific threshold, which will be automatically applied at checkout.
Can I return or exchange an item if it doesn't fit?
Yes, we offer a 30-day return policy for unused items in their original packaging with tags attached. Please ensure that horse rugs are tried on over a clean sheet to keep them free from hair and dirt, as soiled items cannot be accepted for return.
Are Shires Equestrian products covered by a warranty?
We take pride in our craftsmanship. All Shires products come with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. This does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or damage caused by the horse.
How should I care for my leather tack to ensure it lasts?
We recommend cleaning your leatherwork after every use with a damp sponge and saddle soap to remove sweat and dirt. Periodically apply a high-quality leather conditioner or balsam to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking.
Do you offer international shipping?
